Cabinet sides having excellent detail of walnut oyster veneers surrounding arched panel of fruitwood stringing and yew wood veneer within.
The 19th century stand having elements of the original stand has a single long drawer containing later leathered writing surface.
The whole standing on six walnut barley twist legs united by walnut wavy stretcher and turned feet.
Gilt brass escutcheons and handles, replacement locks.
